About Me

My photo
I'm Lejon Mumford from Detroit Michgan. I'm 17 about to be 18 on Nov 28th. I love writing poetry and I actually started after my father passed away in December of 2006. I wrote a poem in his Obituary that i thought was really good, and it took me three months to write again and my baby inspired it in march when i wrote a poem about my father on the internet. It sparked a lot of comments on Facebook so i pretty much have been writing ever since. Although since then my writing abilities have grown and using my two favorite rappers (Eminem, Lupe) I have pulled inspiration from their lyrics time and time again. Oh and i really have gotten alot of inspiration out of Linkin Park also. When I write I'm able to become any one, which means it's a different point of view thus my name becomes Notion because I am a living concept or depiction of everything when I'm holding my pen.

A Chocolate Rose

A chocolate rose for a chocolate rose
so sweet the taste as well as scent
insane I’ve went since you fragrance was sent
beating down my door to slightly tickle my nose
oh ye chocolate covered rose
drip thy chocolate and cover me
with a simple roses beauty
let I nibble on petals
taking chocolate craze to new levels
a tulip couldn't do shit to this
dandelion jungle you dare to shake and thunder too
with your chocolate flow,
let your rivers drip, and sprinkle so softly as chocolate mist
and let not one drop miss
take me into you dark chocolate pits
to drink mouth full’s of cho co late
no sweet sips I need be filled to the brim with sweetness
and in my mug pour you gallons,
and as humble as I try to seem you and I both know
that I have a way with words
a certain thing with codes
but believe me I kneel and behold
I give to you chocolate rose a chocolate rose
because a chocolate rose deserves a chocolate rose

Gifted Vision

Sometimes being me means to endure the pain of others
And pain has no color, no sisters nor brothers
But thrives intensely in the hearts of forced lovers,
And this gift I sometimes curse,
Especially when I looked in the blood shot eyes of that girl,
I saw, I mean I saw everything,
The day pain was born with in her being,
I could feel icy tears running down my cheeks,
My arms held down as the penetrate me,
My mouth full of bleed, then hands of three, I was only thirteen
His sweat washing me down,
I scream but I stop, because the black consumes,
And pain stops, I lay back in the grass,
With mom and dad as we laugh, at the cute events of the past,
Before they use to line their pockets with cash,
Then the pain, It reveals itself again so fast
His sweat drips down my thighs to my ass, then to the floor mat
I scream God, the more they pump
Drip sweat and release,
This release was the filth of the earth pooling inside innocence
That now is accused and guilty,
The beating so severe, the birth forming inside me
His fate was sealed from the beginning,
But I snapped out of this eye bound trance,
And continued this early mourning routine human dance
She walked towards me and hugged me tight
With tear filled eyes, and I realized
These people know that I can see
they only reveal so they can make
sure the next truth I write is their story
And being me I was compelled to wrap
my arms around her and squeeze

Slave to Lips

Let me revisit, this woman suductive like mistress

taking from my soul, my conscience my ambitions,

and put in my eyes the wonders of all that is tempting,

from her legs to breast, the soft curves of her chest,

her backside, that i squeeze tighter but even more gentle than her breast

she can take me to places this woman never could reach

the walls that i breech,

could make man's scream screech,

when his outlet lets children free,

this use of the words with double e's

stand for every enjoyment of she,

no boundaries are between two people who fiend

no room too small not to scream,

until pleasure chases your short acceptance in dreams,

complete control she holds so boldly plucking my fruitful love

tasking it as her own, she

pleases and weakens me because being faithful i am not with this queen,

this queen of the damned i eat, and drink,

and give's the kisses that belong to the one i leave,

the silhouette of lust filled lips,

are the most dangerous whips that hit backs with each thought,

enslaving you with each craving,

the way she dips you in her depth and you find your self bathing

keeping her scent closer, and one sniff

takes your vision to strokes and dips,

moans and screams from the top of your cliffs,

to the satisfied whispers with a small lisp,

and your bodies under sheets complete the portrait

of pure weakness to the sweet sweet pleasures of flesh,

from the clothes on the floor, wet sheets,

to the descriet do not disturb sign out side our hotel door

TWO SIDES OF ONE COIN

This is the first realization of the two.

My Birthday was yesterday and I'm finally 18

Man, it really feels good to be 18. I been waiting for this for so long
i really can't even believe i been here that long. Now i can go get my car
start living like i should and not waiting on others to do for me. So I'm
asking anybody who actually reads this to tell me what do they think i
should really be focusing on now and just to let you know God comes first,
so wats second?

"Look Away"

Look away, as if there’s a distraction to your right
And don’t act like you don’t know why
All it takes is one contact with another’s eyes
And they’ll see everything inside

The crack of their mouth will ripple
Your mind’s blowing, and triple
The adrenaline’s flowing, the pressure
Of your tremble, the sowing

Like watching the timer to a bomb click on
And you see the chemicals getting closer
And this bomb hooked by chain,
Has a grapple hook woven into your shoulder

Back to that crack, when it is completed
And your defeated, secreted in soil like deceased again
Right where the darkness is,
The dust

Do you know how long it took to stitch up the scalpel cuts
The tummy tucks, stitching close you tear ducts
That completed crack is a slight grin
A grin acknowledging the weakness in you

Don’t see the grin, and in the end
you’ll be greater than men
What?
You ask why? Because

The less a human reveals emotion
The more unlike human he is, this human
Can become flawless, boundless and nothing
But sounding to the sound less

Because human emotions weakens
it’s dominance in voice

Notion reciting his piece called "Neuron's Ink"

This poem represents the level of depth my poetry

has reached and the process it takes to

get there. It's kinda like I'm showing off.
